Bubblicious

Skirt, Sweater, Bag, Boots: J. Crew Gingham Shirt: Gap Necklace: Anthropologie  Tights: Target Belt: Madewell

Pink + green is one of my favorite color combinations. I think that's because it reminds of of Bubblicious watermelon gum. That stuff is the bomb.

What's your favorite color combo?

Stylin' in my long johns, no?

GOOO Huskies!!

Just hangin' out

So pretty!

Sorry for all the long winded posts this week, but I wanted to share some pics from our ski trip last weekend! We left Boston after work on Friday - and it was a freakin' blizzard! Luckily I fell into my usual routine of falling asleep within 30 minutes of being in the car - so I was only terrified for a short amount of time. But poor Nick - we literally crawled to Vermont, and it took us over 7 hours and multiple near - miss spin outs to get there. The snow continued into Saturday...and at first we were all super excited there would be so much powder to ski in. But then we got on the ski lift in the blizzard conditions with 60mph winds (OK, that's a guess - it just FELT like 60mph)...and it wasn't so much fun being in a freezing wind tunnel and fearing the lift cable would break and we would be on the 5 o'clock news. OR not being able to see more than a foot in front of you while going down the mountain. Nick lucked out though - he decided to ski, and considering he's not uh, the best, the fresh snow gave him some cushion for all the falls. I wish I had gotten some footage of him skiing - but picture a 6'5" man with icicles on his beard, crouched over awkwardly, trying to pizza wedge down the entire mountain and losing his balance a lot. Pretty funny (sorry Nick, I love you a whole lot more though for trying). Anyway, we got in a few runs, but called it a day kind of early - and headed back to the house for some hot chocolate, naps, and college basketball. Apparently the owners of the house we rented had an affinity for wolves/huskies - because there were blankets like the one above EVERYWHERE! It was kind of perfect though - Nick went to UConn, and there was a UConn vs. Syracuse basketball game on Saturday night, so we made him wear the husky blanket around during the game for team spirit (the UConn Huskies). They lost, but he looked pretty awesome right? I thought it was definitely blog worthy :)

  1. Wow...your pink sweater has a stunning effect. Looks nice with an olive green skirt, great contrast. And the gold necklace is just perfect! Have i told you that you have gorgeous hair too? Your skiing trip looks fun. The blizzard looks kind scary. I like the huge husky blanket for some comic effect :-)
