Why did you start your blog?

I started my blog primarily because I wanted to share my photography through it…as things moved forward I found that the blog was a great way to share all of my hobbies…not just photography…but fashion, food, and other fun things  :)

Tell us about your Etsy shop! 
My Etsy shop is a fun way for me to enjoy thrift shopping! I love vintage anything and everything! Sometimes I come home with bags of items…half of which I would wear or keep and the other half are items I want to share with the world! 

What is your day job?

My day job is working as a Volunteer & Outreach Coordinator for a local hospice agency. This was my first “big girl” job out of college and I love it. For those of you who don’t know…hospice is for patients who are terminally ill. Our staff does its best to make sure the patients are pain free and comfortable during their last months or days…we provide an extra layer of support for families. The organization I work for is a non-profit…I love non-profit organizations…especially working for one. 

What is your favorite fashion trend? 

My favorite fashion trend is leggings or tights and knee high boots! I love that tights came into the picture because now those dresses that us mid-west girls used to end up putting away for the winter can be worn too! Tunics, sweater dresses etc…its nice to have some flexibility in your wardrobe! 

What is your favorite rainy day activity?

My favorite rainy day activity would be board games, scrabble or Up Words! Am I the only one in this world whose played Up Words? I swear when I mention it nobody knows what the heck I am talking about…

What’s one thing you’ve learned from blogging?

One thing I have learned from blogging is that I can’t expect to 1) please everyone and 2) its ok to be MYSELF --- I think starting a blog is kind of intimidating for most…at least it was for me? I think we are so worried about being vulnerable and letting our thoughts be known…and be putting it out there for scrutiny and criticism…it takes a brave person to blog!

And just for fun – favorite book/movie or TV show?

GOSH! I LOVE to read…lets see…my all time favorite two books would have to be Gone With the Wind, and The Help. – both amazing. TV show would have to be The Bachelor or Bachelorette :)
